A long-running client relationship supporting British Airways across multiple recruitment campaigns and candidate-facing digital products.
The challenge
Maintain a recognisable and consistent British Airways experience across different candidate touchpoints while adapting the designs as campaigns, requirements and content evolved.
Constraints
- Established global brand
- Existing recruitment technology
- Different requirements across recruitment campaigns
- Need for consistency across multiple products

Research and discovery
I used insight gathered from previous project cycles, stakeholder feedback and existing candidate journeys to identify where experiences could become clearer and more consistent.
What candidates needed
- Clear information
- Predictable navigation
- Understanding of where they were in the process
- Confidence about what was expected next
Design approach
Hierarchy, imagery, typography and interaction were used to maintain the British Airways identity while prioritising usability. Accessibility ran through typography, contrast, responsive behaviour, interaction states and information hierarchy.
Developer collaboration and iteration
I worked with development teams to ensure designs were technically feasible, adapting them where platform constraints required changes. Because the relationship spanned multiple recruitment cycles, the work evolved over time rather than functioning as a single one-off redesign.

Final solution
A cohesive suite of digital candidate experiences that consistently reflected the British Airways brand while supporting different stages of recruitment.
What I learned
Because the work spanned multiple recruitment cycles and products, consistency became an important design challenge. Rather than treating each project as an isolated interface, I reused established patterns and components while adapting them to the needs of each recruitment journey.
